Canine Essentials
If your dog knows the basics like Sit, Down, Shake, etc. but struggles with skills like Recall, Loose Leash Walking, Stay/Wait, or greeting new people, then we’ve designed the Canine Essentials Course specifically for you.
In week one, we cover the mechanics of Loose Leash Walking:
Leash holding, correcting unwanted behavior using the leash, limiting pulling, and rewarding your dog for proper Loose Leash Walking.
In week two, we focused on impulse control:
Wait, Stay, Recall/Come and behavior when guests come to the door. You will learn to read the energy level of your dog and be given the skills to mitigate and focus that energy into proper behavior.
In week three we take the skills learned and put them to work:
Addressing how to properly engage your dog with new people, how to walk by strangers with dogs, and different ways to have new dogs meet each other.
This course comes with weekly detailed handouts for the topics that are covered. You will also have the opportunity to try out different leashes, harnesses, and collars, learning the pros and cons of each.
3 weekly 1 hour classes on Sundays, 10am – 11am.
Our next class runs August 4th through August 18th .
$160
