Meet our Owners

Owners Kris Padden and Marc Weiner met in 1998. They discovered a shared love of animals and often chatted about their dream jobs, anything that involved animals!

Drawing from their own experiences juggling the hectic life of full time work, family and beloved pets at home, these dog loving friends began the process of developing the business of their dreams. That’s how K-9 to Five was born!

Since 2013, Kris has volunteered with The Rescue Faerie, a small but passionate group of dog lovers that makes several trips a year to the Los Cabos Humane Society, bringing adoptable dogs to the Portland area. Marc also got involved with this wonderful organization, and many events held at K-9 to Five generate donations for The Rescue Faerie.

Marc and Kris have carefully crafted a one-stop Doggy Playcare & Spa for busy, working dog owners. K-9 to Five is a welcoming place where your fur babies can socialize in a safe environment and have a day at the Spa while you are at work.

In early 2021, Kris and Marc expanded their doggy services by acquiring Vancouver Dog Walkers, which has been voted best dog walking service in Clark County four years in a row!
